Team CVGA Wins the 2025 Michiago Cup
It’s been a minute, but Team CVGA has won the Michiago Cup again and brought it back home to Chicago! Huge congrats to Team CVGA for a well-deserved win!
On Saturday morning, the team Scramble officially kicked off the 2025 Michiago Cup competition. Team CVGA really got off to a great start, leading the morning Scramble session with a score of 5.5 to 5, thanks to our awesome A and C Flight teams. And the afternoon was even better—every Flight teams played their hearts out, and Team CVGA clinched the afternoon Best Ball session with a score of 6.5 to 4, giving us a 12-9 lead after Saturday’s competition. It was all set for Team CVGA to bring home the Michiago Cup on Sunday!
For the Sunday Singles, Team CVGA had a bit of a shaky start in the Single matches, with Team DVGA taking 7 out of 10 matches in the A Flight group, leading 16-15. But our B Flight and C Flight teams stepped up and played like champs, snagging 8 out of 11 matches to win the cup for Team CVGA. The final score was 23-19. Way to go, Team CVGA!
Wow, a massive congrats to Tien, Paul, and Lang for winning all three matches! And a special shout-out to Hoang, Colin, and Tri for clinching two matches and tying their third. They were all undefeated champs!
It was another fantastic competition. A huge thank you to Huy and Vanessa for hosting the Friday’s Meet & Greet and Saturday’s evening barbecue. We can’t wait to see everyone next August for the 2026 Michiago Cup!
