CVGA 2025 Year-end Awards Banquet
Our annual awards dinner at PhoDay in Schaumburg on Saturday, December 6th, was a huge success! We had over 50 people there to celebrate the end of the year. Thanks to everyone who came out to join in the festivities.
Team HOCAA won the Teams CVGA Cup competition. Congratulations to the HOCAA (Captain Hoang, Angel, Angelina, Christopher, and Oobo). Second place went to the Flying Eagles (Captain Lang, Danny, Eric, Tri, and Vu).
Hoang Le won the 2025 CVGA Cup and Player of the Year award. Hoang consistently performed well throughout the season, placing in the top 5 in five of the nine monthly tournaments. Hoang really improved his ball striking in 2025 and had a great season. Thai was the runner-up for the 2025 CVGA Cup. He won the July tournament and came in second in June and September. Oobo came in third, followed by Binh and Christopher.
Thai also won the Most Improved Player of the Year award. His handicap index improved by 33% and finished the year at 12.1.
