2025 CVGA August’s Tournament Results

IIt was quite the challenge for our players in the August tournament at Village Links in Glenn Elyn, IL. The course took a lot of rain the night before, so it was walking only, and the course was set up at the tip due to the Glenn Elyn Open tournament in the morning. Even so, Lam Vo took on the challenge and shot a net 71.6 to win the tournament. Nam Le gave a spirited challenge but came up just short with a net of 73 to take the B-Flight, and Oobo Ochirjav won the A-Flight with a net of 73.6. Well played, guys. The Par-3 closest to the pin winners were Mark Nguyen, Baki Batbold, Oobo, and Hoang Le. Congrats to all the winners!     Full results can be viewed here

Hoang remains at the top of the CVGA Cup, standing with 780 points. Oobo has taken second place with 730 points, followed by Binh Le at 685, Thai Dang at 660, and Danny Nguyen at 580. There are three more tournaments to go, so it’s not over yet. 

HOCAA won the Team’s competition with strong performances from Hoang, Oobo, and Christopher Nguyen for a total net of 224. The Flying Eagles took second with a team total of 232, followed by the Pin Seekers and Let’s Par-tee.

In the race for the CVGA Team Cup, Team HOCAA maintains the lead with 375 points, followed by the Flying Eagles at 295, Let’s Par-tee at 175, Da Champs and Pin Seekers at 160, and Sixers at 125.
