2024 CVGA October Tournament Results

We had 30 golfers teed it up for the October’s tournament Sunday, October 13th at Arboretum Golf Club. Congratulations to our newest member, Tien Luong for overcoming the cold weather and winning the tournament with a gross of 86 and net of 70.4. Well played Tien. Binh Le was second overall and won the A Flight with a gross of 84 and net of 75.4. Nam Le won the B Flight with gross of 94 and net of 76.3. The Par-3 closest to the pin winners were Attie Ratsavongsy, Danny Nguyen and Vu Nguyen

The Saigon Sharks won the team competition with a net score of 316.8. The Pins Seekers came in second with a score of 334.1 followed by the Golden Dragons (346.7) and Greens Hunters (DQ). Congratulations to Team Captain Colin Nguyen and the Saigon Sharks for winning the 2024 Team’s CVGA Cup.

The Race to the CVGA Cup is coming down to two man race with David Bui in first place with 1170 points and Binh at 1075. Thai Dang is in third at 920 followed by Danny Nguyen at 835 and Allen Van (710) to round out the top 5. Just one more tournaments to go to crown the 2024 CVGA Cup Champion. Note that the CVGA Cup final points total comprises of the top 8 scores out of 9 for each player.

The Team’s CVGA Cup winner is the Saigon Sharks with an insurmountable lead of 525 points. In second place is the Pins Seekers at 375 points followed by the Golden Dragons at 275 and Green Hunters at 225.

Next month’s tournament will be on November 3rd at White Pine Golf Club with the first tee time starting at 11am. The format will be individual stroke play. Click on this link to register. You can also register on the ChicagoVGA app.
