2024 CVGA Make-Up Tournament Results

We had 24 golfers teed it up for the July’s Make-Up tournament on September 29th at Klein Creek Golf Club in Winfield, IL. Congratulations to Binh Le for winning the tournament with a gross of 80 and net of 70.3. Well played Binh. David Bui was second overall and won the A Flight with a gross of 77 and net of 71.5. Trang Truong won the B Flight with gross of 85 and net of 72.1. The Par-3 closest to the pin winners were Binh, Colin Nguyen and Chau Nguyen

The Pins Seekers won the team competition with a net score of 296.5. The Green Hunters came in second with a score of 303.8 followed by the Saigon Sharks (314.5) and Golden Dragons (325).

The Race to the CVGA Cup has a clear leader with David in first place with 995 points. Binh is second and within striking distance at 875. Thai Dang is in third at 840 followed by Danny Nguyen at 770 and Allen Van (710) to round out the top 5. Two more tournaments to go to crown the 2024 CVGA Cup Champion. Note that the CVGA Cup final points total comprises of the top 8 scores out of 9 for each player so much can happen as we wind down the 2024 season.

The Team’s CVGA Cup leader is the Saigon Sharks with 425 points. In second place is the Pins Seekers at 325 points followed by the Golden Dragons at 250 and Green Hunters at 225. Two more tournaments to go to crown the Team’s CVGA Cup Champion.
